Rebbetzen Ma’ayan Shoshana was brought up in Australia, where her involvement in Jewish leadership and education started early as a teacher for the Board of Jewish Education. After working in property investment and development, she held a number of community positions; most recently as partner in the Rabbinic team of Kingston Synagogue. A graduate of the Chief Rabbi’s Ma’ayan programme, Shoshana is particularly passionate about female involvement and representation within Orthodox Judaism, understanding the role of women within halacha, as well as Judaism’s approach to social and environment issues. Shoshana has continued her involvement in Jewish education whilst in Israel, hosting shiurim in her neighbourhood and teaching at Midreshet Tehillah seminary.
