Rabbi Michael Laitner is the Director of Education for the United Synagogue. He is also an assistant rabbi at Finchley Synagogue in north-west London, a member community of the United Synagogue, where he served as an assistant to Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis. He is a qualified solicitor, with a focus on planning law, and lecturer at the London School of Jewish Studies.
Rabbi Laitner studied for the rabbinate in Israel, where he also guided touring groups. He has a BA in International History and Politics from Leeds University and a LLB from Kings College London.
Rabbi Laitner’s work for the United Synagogue focuses primarily on publications, internet resources and educational planning work with United Synagogue communities.
