Bentzi was born in Jerusalem, with his parents hailing from New York City. He has varied experience of working with people from all different walks of life in Israel and did his military service in the office of the Chief Rabbi of the IDF, as the director of external relations, project managing the Office’s various workstreams. He got his BA in Education from Orot Israel College in Rechovot followed by his MA in Business from Hebrew U. After studying at Kerem B’Yavneh yeshiva, he studied for his Rabbinic qualification from the Straus-Amiel Institute, Ohr Torah Stone, a practical training programme for those wishing to lead communities in the diaspora. He is an avid sports fan (and is looking forward to an education in ‘real’ football and cricket), loves Behavioural Economics and has a passion for music and is learning to play the guitar.
