Nicola was elected a Trustee of the United Synagogue in 2019 and re-elected in 2023. She was vice-Chair of South Hampstead Synagogue from 2013-2016 having previously served for many years on the Shul’s Council.

She is also a director of the charity Medicine for the World. She works as a Consultant in Neuro-Oncology at The Royal Marsden Hospital, London.

She is married to Michael Coren and they have four children.
