Pupils at Wohl Ilford Jewish Primary School supported three charities on Mitzvah Day. Organised by Year 6 House Captains Ethan Clerck, Talia Woolf, Samuel Anto-Agyei and Aaron Caplin, WIJPS families collected plastic bottle tops for Lupus UK. These will melted down to make plastic toys which will be sold to raise money for the charity.

WIJPS also supported Unicef by collecting unwanted footwear. This will be delivered to a local Clarks Shoe Shop. The shoes are sent for re-use and, for every tonne of shoes collected, a donation will be made to Unicef towards educational programmes around the world.

Camp Simcha was the third charity chosen by WIJPS.  Toys and games were collected and Camp Simcha will deliver these to children in hospitals.  The school were delighted to welcome Camp Simcha's Chief Executive, Neville Goldschneider, who spoke to pupils about the work of the charity.
