The festive period is a time when many workers are taking a break themselves, so volunteers are needed to take their place. As many people are off work and kids are on a break from school, volunteering is a great way to spend your spare time, help the wider community and make a difference. Here are a list of volunteering opportunities that might interest you over this Holiday time.

1) Tikun has launched their Light Up a Life: Winter Volunteering Project website. Some opportunities include: taking Cadbury’s chocolate boxes to a variety of hospitals, hospices and day centres around London, serving lunch and activities at an age activity centre, making uplifting postcards for survivors of domestic abuse and many more. Click here to register and to find all of their volunteering opportunities.

2) JVN - Jewish Volunteering Network has a page for seasonal volunteering opportunities. Some of the opportunities include:  Boxing Day Packathon in Colindale, Gift wrapping in Harrow, Help cook a 3 course dinner with other volunteers at a Hostel in West Hampstead and more!
