Last week, Rabbi Jonny Hughes of Richmond United Synagogue and the US Living & Learning City Rabbi, held a free lunch and learn for anyone who wanted to come at the Bank of England. So popular was the talk that many had to be turned away as the capacity was quickly reached.

In the latest installment of a well-received series, Rabbi Hughes spoke about astrology, fate and free will to a captivated audience. The next talk will be at Western Marble Arch Synagogue and Investec Wealth and Investment in the City. The topic will be Déjà Jew: Do We Believe in Reincarnation?

Commenting on this talk, a spokesperson for the Bank of England said, 'Rabbi Hughes enabled us to engage in a topic that was both interesting and new/different for people from a variety of knowledge/background. We received universal positive feedback on how engaging he was as a speaker and how fascinating the choice of topic was. We were all disappointed that it had to end when it did as we could have easily spent the rest of the afternoon learning with him. We hope he will be able to return on another occasion.'

Rabbi Hughes himself said, ‘Thanks go to the Bank of England and Hannah Green for organising this exciting event. This series of 'lunch and learn'- style opportunities in the City, West End, Canary Wharf and Westminster has proved to be very popular and we are looking forward to taking it to the next level'.
