In preparation for Purim, seven United Synagogue communities have made over 1,000 Mishloach Manot (food parcels) for members of a few charities.
Using US Chesed's newly created 'Big Purple Box', volunteers from Cockfosters & N Southgate, Kinloss Youth, Mill Hill, Radlett, St John's Wood, South Hampstead, Stanmore & Canons Park and Woodside Park made the parcels which have been delivered to members of a few Jewish charities.
Michelle Minsky, Head of US Chesed, said: "The intention of our 'Big Purple Box' is to send gifts to others in order to show that someone is thinking of them. I am delighted that a good number of our communities have used it to spread the Purim spirit and bring joy to others."
