The United Synagogue is delighted to announce the appointment of Alan Aziz to the new post of Director of Development. This role has been created to increase the resources available to fund a range of strategic initiatives.

Alan Aziz said: “The US is at the heart of the Jewish community and the impact we can have by investing in it is enormous. There are so many new ideas just waiting to be funded that will transform the way people engage with their local communities and their Judaism. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a big difference; it’s something I am really looking forward to.”

No stranger to Jewish communal life, over the last 17 years Aziz has served in leadership roles at the JNF and the Zionist Federation. His background “perfectly positions him for his new role” says United Synagogue President, Stephen Pack: “A love of Israel and a genuine concern for the Jewish future are essential to the values of The US. Alan exemplifies these values and his enviable track record in connecting people with great projects will see his role as Director of Development transforming our community.”

Alan Aziz will take up his new role in January.
