Successful Supper Quiz at New West End

80 guests recently attended a supper quiz at the New West End Synagogue, which was described by attendees as ‘a social highlight and a great success.’ David Fisher reviewed the evening:

All thanks to Valerie Richman, Diane Bloom and the enthusiastic team who transformed the Herbert Samuel Hall into a beautifully decorated venue. Fortified by a delicious homemade soup on arrival, the questions started rolling - dished out in very professional style by Quizmaster Benjamin Till.

Battle continued throughout the evening, but with a half time truce to enjoy the splendid light supper of Shepherd’s Pie and dessert masterminded as ever by society caterer Stephanie Featherman. One team edged ahead, only to be relegated as another team found its feet and roared into the lead. Suddenly a lucky run propelled yet another team on the road to glory, only to peak too soon.

Suddenly Scoremaster Nathan, ably working with Benjamin on the top table, was adding up the final figures- and the winners were the Popular Front of Judea table, aka the multi-generational Miller family. Well done, well deserved!

It was a great evening, full of fun and food, and I can only promise to do better when we have the next NWES Supper Quiz.
