ShabbatUK was celebrated in style at the Enfield & Winchmore Hill synagogue by holding a beautiful lunch and a programme of afternoon entertainment.

We made every effort to attract members who are seen less frequently in shul to enjoy the very special warmth of our Shabbat Service and hospitality.

Our thanks must go to Diana Phillips and her willing team of helpers in planning and arranging a faultless presentation.

Because of safety considerations we are limited to seating 36 people, but this meant that we felt one big family. Zemirot were sung and Senior Warden, Henry Jacobs the "Poet in Residence",
entertained with his Torah based poems.

The afternoon continued with Rabbi Yitzchok Sufrin hosting an Ask the Rabbi session, with everything from Shabbat candles to the kashrut of whisky being discussed.

Following Mincha, a Seudah Shlishit was enjoyed and after Ma'ariv, Havdalah.

A vote of thanks was given to the Chief Rabbi personally for his promotion of  ShabbatUK and to his Centre for Rabbinical Excellence for their invaluable contribution.
