Following on from the enormous success of the Parallel Thinking series last year which addressed some of the age old questions on Science and Religion, Rabbi Dr. Moshe Freedman compiled a new programme of six sessions, four of which were delivered by some of Britain’s top academics.

Oxford professor, Baroness Susan Greenfield CBE spoke about the enigma of consciousness from a Neuroscientific perspective. Professor Sacha Stern explored the Jewish concept of time. In addition, Dr. Josie Malinowski delved into the meaning of dreams while Professor Kate Lowenthal examined the effects of cognitive dissonance on religious adherents.

Rabbi Freedman also presented sessions on Quantum Theory and the idea of the Multiverse.

Rabbi Freedman commented: “We are deeply privileged to have secured some of the world’s most eminent scientists and academics to speak at Northwood United.”
