Mitzvah Day at Pinner shul was excellent - it celebrates a wonderful Jewish day of 'doing something' for others (a  mitzvah is a good deed). Over 120 people shared a delicious tea and did their mitzvot. People of all ages attended and there was a true buzzing atmosphere of cross generational activity. Pinner Synagogue was a hive of activity all afternoon with:

  1. Collecting for Harrow foodbank
  2. Making fruit crumbles for Hope Homeless shelter in Watford (we made over 40!)
  3. Making welcome posters for refugee children
  4. Making tzedakah boxes
  5. Making decorations for our community centre in our shul
  6. Making dog snuffle mats for dogs in Harefield Dogs Trust
  7. Knitting squares for blankets for homeless people

We were joined by community groups like the Cubs, two wonderful volunteer singers and we had a lovely speech from the Mayor of Harrow.
