As part of its Mitzvah Day activities, this Sunday 16 November Watford shul will host the start of the annual Watford Inter-Faith Association (WIFA) pilgrimage around faith centres in the town to promote tolerance and understanding between different faiths.

Around 60 visitors of various religious denominations, including the Chair of WIFA, and members of Watford Synagogue, are expected to attend the tour, which runs from 1pm to 5pm.  Guests will be served tea and kosher cakes while Watford minister Rabbi Ephraim Levine welcomes guests to the shul. As in previous years, the group will then set off on a tour of the town’s faith centres, which include St Mary’s Church, the Central Mosque and Sikh Gurdwara. This year, the route will also take in a Diwali street festival.
