Popular children’s entertainer Adam Ants raised £1,300 by performing remotely all day, 14 back-to-back children’s parties for a charity ‘Smileathon’ last month. Instead of payment, Adam asked all those taking part to make a donation to the Spread a Smile charity, which provides entertainment to seriously ill children and teenagers in hospital.

Adam - whose real name is Adam Millet and is a member of Mill Hill United - helps put smiles on the faces of children at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and other hospitals in London, with this amazing charity, Spread a Smile.

Since the Smileathon event, Adam has continued his charity work through regular volunteering stints by swapping his clown costume for apron, gloves and mask for Compassion London, which makes and distributes healthy meals to NHS staff, other key workers and individuals and families in need.
