Mill Hill Synagogue took part in Mitzvah Day holding a stall in the square on Mill Hill Broadway collecting donations of sporting goods for ‘Lords Taverners’, essential toiletries for ‘LJS’ asylum seekers and unwanted bicycles for ‘The Bike Project’.

The response was amazing with over 50 bikes were handed over and van loads of goods.  Stall holders were joined by Rabbi Schochet and Matthew Offord MP as shul members, residents of Mill Mill and the general public who came down were given prizes generously donated by local shop owners.  Mitzvah Day coordinators Judy Mizrahi and Sian Rand (pictured), were delighted with the response “Every year Mill Hill shows its generosity for Mitzvah Day and this year was exceptional: the emphasis on being green and inclusive resonated within the community and we are so proud of everyone’s commitment and contribution to these excellent causes”.
