Luton Synagogue has a now well established and successful varied series of events under the banner of the Luton Cultural Centre. In March, there was inter communal event at which a panel of representatives of the three Abrahamic Faiths answered questions which explored the similarities and differences between the traditions and beliefs of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.  The event was hosted at a local Roman Catholic Church and was attended by all three faiths and helped improve further the good relations between Faith Groups in Luton.

Luton Synagogue hosted a packed event on Sunday May 7th at which Jonathan Arkush, President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, spoke on the topic: “Our community is facing challenges – can we cope?”  His is optimism about our Future. Through initiatives to break down the barriers of ignorance of Judaism, many that may have strayed into anti-Semitism had realised that such racialism is not acceptable and falsely-based.

Luton United Synagogue is greatly honoured to have such a high profile speaker that presented an excellently delivered talk that promoted a lively and engaging discussion.
