An Extra Boost for US Chesed Pesach Initiative

US Chesed’s annual Pesach Parcel initiative received an extra boost this year after Tesco donated thousands of pounds of products to the project. The packages, which include foods such as Matzahs, donated by Rakusen’s, tea and cheese, will this year see the addition of certain luxuries such as chocolate and gefilte fish due to the supermarket chain’s involvement.

Each year, US Chesed helps more than 600 families enjoy Pesach through this initiative, which is funded by US Chesed’s Pesach Appeal.

Speaking about the initiative Michelle Minsky, Head of US Chesed said: “We were absolutely thrilled to learn that Tesco had chosen to help members of the United Synagogue who would struggle to meet the costs of Pesach this year. This was a real bonus for The US’ Pesach Appeal, which is also helped by Rakusen’s. It has meant that people will be able to enjoy items such as fruit juice and chocolate which many families just take for granted".

United Synagogue President, Stephen Pack, commented: "Each year US Chesed helps more than 600 families with the costs of Pesach. Thank you to everyone who has donated to this appeal - every donation will make a real difference to so many of our members who look forward to our Pesach parcels”.
