Shabbat Times for London: May 16th - May 17th Begins: 20:33 Ends: 21:47

It’s been an exciting and busy week at The US. KLBD have been making sure that more chocolate than ever is now kosher, our rabbis have been honing their skills in Israel and found the time to meet almost a hundred Tribe members as part of their itinerary. Tribe too have been busy as, in addition to organising the event in Israel, they’ve hosted a football tournament and taken Cheder pupils on an educational trip.

More Kosher Chocolate and BBQs Galore
We all love chocolate. That’s why the KLBD have done their best to ensure that more chocolate than ever before, including a number of supermarket own brands, is now kosher. Click here to see the full list. And with Lag BaOmer this Sunday, click here to find out what’s going on: There’s bound to be a BBQ near you!

Run for the Future and have some FUN!
US Futures is looking for runners and walkers who'd like to have some fun taking part in Maccabi's Community Fun Run on 22 June at Allianz Park. We are looking for people who want to help raise funds to support The US’ activities with young people whilst having some real fun. (Look out in the coming weeks for more info about what we have planned – at this stage we can reveal that placards and false beards will be involved!) To join our team sign up here or contact usfutures@theus.org.uk for more information.

Celebrate Yom Yerushalayim with US Living & Learning
Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day) is just around the corner. The US’ Living & Learning department, together with WZO, are organising a wonderful event in Borehamwood to mark the occasion. The Chief Rabbi will be there as will the IDF choir. Click here to see them in action. Book your tickets here.

New Kosher Restaurant in N20 for one week only
Zeitlin & Co are taking over the restaurant N20 for the 20th, 21st and 22nd of May. Click here for more information.

Discounts for US Members at the Jewish Museum
For all you Jewish Museum fans out there, United Synagogue members can now receive a 10% discount on new individual and family Friends memberships until the end of their current exhibition if you go to www.jewishmuseum.org.uk/friends and use the promo code US2014.

Finally, for the last few weeks we have been reminding everybody to complete their US Member Survey, before last Monday’s deadline. We wanted to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to the thousands of people who took the time to share their views with us. We really appreciate all of the information that you have given us. Now begins the serious task of analysing what you have said and building plans that respond to your needs. You & US will keep you abreast of all this work in the coming months as we continue to build the best possible future for The US community.

Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom.
