Aleph Centre get ready for Shavuot

Shavuot activities at the Aleph Learning Centre at Hampstead Gardens Suburb Synagogue which took place on Sunday 17 May. 

Pupils enjoyed hands on and exciting activities for Shavuot at the Aleph Learning Centre. Reception and Year 1 made Mini Torahs and Edible Torahs.

Year 2 and Year 3 along with their parents participated in a special Cheese Cake ‘Make and Taste’ with French Chef Fabienne Viner. Years 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed a hands on Torah workshop with Tzivos Hashem where they got to experienced the process of how a Torah is made. They handled various types of leather, took part in sanding of the skins to make parchment and used ink and quills to try their hand at the ancient Hebrew Torah letters. 

All pupils are invited back next Sunday to join in a Sing Along service on Shavuot followed by a 10 commandments activity, and a special ice-cream Kiddish.
