Chief Rabbi And Lady Sacks Host Newlywed Reception

CHIEF RABBI AND LADY SACKS HOST NEWLYWED RECEPTION

The Chief Rabbi and Lady Sacks hosted a reception at their home on Sunday 26 April to welcome some of the couples recently married under the auspices of the United Synagogue. The reception offered newlywed couples the opportunity to meet each other and get to know other members of their community.

The Chief Rabbi shared his thoughts on the importance of respect in marriage and the meaning of Shabbat to the family. Rabbi Andrew Shaw, Community Rabbi at Stanmore United Synagogue, also spoke and encouraged all the couples to become involved in their local United Synagogue community. Guests included United Synagogue President Dr. Simon Hochhauser and Chief Executive of the United Synagogue, Jeremy Jacobs.

Jeremy Jacobs, Chief Executive of the United Synagogue, commented: "The reception was a great success and was a lovely opportunity to meet with some of our newly married couples. It also enabled the couples to share their experiences and for us at the United Synagogue to demonstrate how we value and support our younger members of the community."

Nicola Stimler, one of the newlywed guests who married in Bushey Synagogue, said: "It was lovely to meet all the couples, all whom had a wonderful time. I know I speak for all of them when I thank the Chief Rabbi and Lady Sacks for opening their home to us and sharing their kind words."
