KOSHER TEXT MESSAGES LAUNCH NEW 2008 KOSHER NOSH GUIDE

Keeping kosher just got easier with the launch of this summer’s 2008 Kosher Nosh Guide and the introduction of a new text alert service.

The new text service will be provided free of charge until December for those who subscribe before September 1st. Kosher texts will be sent straight to mobile phone users as soon as a product becomes approved or is taken off the kashrut list to keep people up-to-date with the latest information.

In addition, this year’s 2008 Guide will feature over 370 new products including the introduction of a much requested biscuit section. New products will also include sweets, organic ice cream, popcorn and luxury chocolates.

80,000 free copies of the 62-page pocket sized user-friendly guide are set to be distributed throughout the Jewish community by TRIBE and the Agency for Jewish Education.

This summer has also seen the introduction of the Nosh Guide’s alert service debut on Facebook which has already attracted over 800 members, ensuring that as many people as possible are kept regularly up-to-date as to the status of kosher confectionary.

Rabbi Conway, Director of the Kashrut Division, commented: “The Nosh Guide is a must for anyone who wants to keep kosher, and with so many new products, the community will be overwhelmed by choice! We are particularly excited about the new text service which will give subscribers rapid, up-to-date information to make it even easier to keep kosher in the future.”
