HENDON UNITED SYNAGOGUE WELCOMES NEW YOUTH DIRECTORS JOEL SICHEL AND ARIEL FINE

Hendon United Synagogue welcomed two new youth directors, Joel Sichel and Ariel Fine on Shabbat, to rejuvenate Hendon youth. The role will involve running the youth services on Shabbat as well as organising social and educational, programmes and events for the 400 community members under the age of 21.

The dynamic duo hope to expand on the youth minyan, Friday night services and expand the already strong Hendon youth community.

Joel Sichel has been a member of and strongly involved with Hendon Synagogue his whole life. He studied at Ohr Somayach Yeshiva for two years before taking a place at Kings College London, where he currently studies Religion, Philosophy and Ethics.

Ariel Fine is also a student at Kings College London, where he reads War Studies after spending two years at Sha’alvim Yeshiva.

Joel Sichel and Ariel Fine commented on their appointment;

“We are absolutely delighted to be working as youth directors of Hendon and are excited to engage with the ever growing youth in the community. We hope to create both an educational and fun environment for our younger members to learn and socialise in.”

Marc Mayor, Chairman of Hendon United Synagogue added;

"At a time when our community is experiencing great momentum the arrival of Ariel and Joel as joint youth directors is further enhancing the offering to our young members. Both are exceptionally qualified for the task and we look forward to working with them."
