SUTTON UNITED SYNAGOGUE WELCOMES NEW MINISTER
The Honorary Officers and Board of Management of Sutton United Synagogue are absolutely delighted to announce the appointment of Reverend Meir Lev as their Spiritual Leader and Minister.
Reverend Lev was until 2008 the Chazan/Acting Minister for the Bournemouth Hebrew Congregation and before that held cantorial posts in both Leeds and Birmingham.
Commenting on this appointment the Chairman of Sutton shul, Naphy Harris, said: “The Community welcomes Reverend Meir Lev and his wife Carol and we look forward to the opening of a new and exciting chapter in the Synagogue’s history.”
Reverend Meir Lev replaces Rabbi Groner who left last year. Sutton is a community of close to 250 members and provides vibrant religious and social activities for its membership.
Reverend Meir Lev said: “Sutton is a very warm and friendly community with a beautiful shul. I am delighted to be taking up my new appointment and will endeavour to inspire the congregation through prayer, song and words of Torah.”
