PRESS RELEASE

KLBD ADVISES TESCO AS KEEPING KOSHER BECOMES EVEN EASIER THIS PESACH

In order to enhance kosher facilities across the UK, particularly in communities where there is no access to kosher shops, The Kashrut Division of the London Beth Din (KLBD) has been working with Tesco as well as other major retailers to provide support and advice about kosher products.

Florette Hyman, Marketing Consultant to the KLBD was invited to Tesco in Borehamwood on Thursday to advise store managers and suppliers from across the UK about Kosher for Pesach products in their stores this year.

Ms. Hyman has been working with Tesco for the last year to guide staff about the differences between normal kosher products and Pesach products, to ensure all stock is being correctly labelled and handled, and to increase the number of products available both during Pesach and throughout the year.

The well known supermarket used Thursday's meeting as an opportunity to launch their Kosher for Pesach department for this year's festival with 25% more products than last year on offer.

Florette Hyman, Marketing Consultant to the KLBD, commented:

"The KLBD is constantly striving to make keeping Kosher easier and more accessible to the community all over the UK. We have been working with all the major retailers and Tesco in particular have shown their eagerness to support the local communities by bringing some 300 Kosher le Pesach products to the high street. It has never been easier or more convenient to have a Kosher Pesach".

"I was delighted to be invited to make a presentation to the store managers and suppliers, who came from all over the country, to learn how best to serve the community for this most important festival. Kosher le Pesach products will be available across the UK, particularly in smaller Jewish communities where there is no access to kosher shops."
