TRIBE TEENS SUMMER CAMP SUCCESS

Dozens of Tribe Teens unpacked their bags this week as they returned from the second successful Tribe Summer Camp in Staffordshire. The participants, who were aged 11 - 14, came from all over the country including Brighton, Edinburgh and London to enjoy the action packed two-week camp.

The group were able to enjoy a broad range of activities including a visit to Alton Towers, canoeing and a barbeque and bonfire. Tribe Teens also benefited from Jewish educational programmes including an inspiring Tisha B'Av service led by Rabbi Shaw, Executive Director of Tribe, who spoke about the significance of the fast day and the plight of the Israeli soldiers missing in action. Tribe Camp also hosted the new Rabbi of Edgware United Synagogue, Rabbi Lister and his family for a few days over a special Shabbat which they enjoyed with all of the camp.

Michael Taylor, Tribe camp participant, said "I had such a great time on Tribe camp. It was so much fun and all the activities we did were amazing. I made loads of new friends and I can't wait to come back again next year - I love Tribe!"

Avi Friedmann, Tribe Teens Executive, commented "It has been wonderful to see how much all the participants have enjoyed Tribe Summer Camp. This year has been a huge success and we are already looking forward to planning next year. Tribe Camp really gives so much to our members and it is remarkable to watch each participant gain a great deal while having such an enjoyable experience on camp."
