TRIBE GO FOOTBALL FRENZY

Last Sunday saw over 100 participants take part in the 6th annual Tribe Football Frenzy at Barnet Powerleague. Teams from across the United Synagogue came together to compete for the Tribe Football Frenzy Shield.

Teams were made up of Year 10 and 11(15-16 year olds) with Finchley United Synagogue winning the tournament to take home the coveted Tribe Shield that was presented by Tribe Executive Director, Rabbi Andrew Shaw with the St John’s Wood Team being the runners up.

Tribe Teens Executive, Avi Friedmann commented: “Tribe Football Frenzy was a great day for everyone who took part. It is days like these with so many Tribe members attending that shows the United Synagogue has a great future ahead and even a couple of decent strikers.”

Finchley United Team Captain, Yoel Lax said: 'The Frenzy was so much fun and I am delighted my team won. After reaching last year’s final, it meant a lot to our team to come back again this year and take home the trophy. Thank you to all the team sponsors and also to Tribe for hosting the event.”
