AJE EARLY YEARS TEAM SCORES TOP MARKS
As OFSTED is to schools, so is CACHE for the Early Years and nursery world.
The United Synagogue Agency for Jewish Education’s Early Years department has just undergone another rigorous CACHE external investigation into its NVQ training programmes and has been given the highest possible score.
The report states: ‘the centre is clearly responsive to the needs of the local community and is very focussed on supporting candidates to achieve. It has an established team of experienced professionals who work hard to support candidates’.
Commenting on the excellent result, United Synagogue Agency for Jewish Education (AJE) Early Years Co-ordinator, Sandy Potashnick said: ‘this outstanding report reflects the commitment of all the dedicated and professional staff at the AJE. We are delighted that, once again, our work has received the highest accolade from a national body’.
The NVQ courses are part time vocational qualifications for those wishing to work in the growing number of Jewish nurseries, kindergartens and school Foundation Stage classes. The AJE’s training programmes, established over many years, are hoping to expand into the area of training Teaching Assistants with a new course which it plans to start this September.
