EXPANDED TEAM OF TRIBE AMBASSADORS GET IN TRAINING
With over two thousand Tribe members on campuses across the country, the newly expanded team of ten Tribe campus ambassadors met for an orientation day at the Tribe office in Edgware. The campus ambassadors, who now include representatives from Nottingham and Bristol, will ensure that Tribe Campus members are able to connect with everything Jewish whilst at university, including J-Soc, the Union of Jewish Students (UJS) and Jewish Chaplaincy
The ambassadors were joined by David Collins, the newly appointed Tribe Community and Campus Executive, who is responsible for Tribe activity on campus. During the day, the group heard from David Kaplan, Director of the United Synagogue’s Community Division, Yoni Sherizen, Chief Executive of Jewish University Chaplaincy, and Rabbi Andrew Shaw, Tribe Executive Director.
David Collins, Tribe Community and Campus Executive, commented: “It is exciting to have such a strong group of individuals who will enable Tribe to carry out the important work of giving our students on campus a Jewish experience. With a newly expanded team, the work being carried out by the ambassadors will reach more Jewish students than ever this year.”
Jessica Baron, Tribe Campus Ambassador in Nottingham commented: “I am honoured and excited to be the first campus ambassador in Nottingham and I am looking forward to working with J-soc, UJS and the new student chaplain to ensure an exciting term ahead for Tribe members.”
