JFS VICTORIOUS AT TRIBE INTER-SCHOOL CRICKET TOURNAMENT

JFS have won the 2011 Inter-school Cricket Tournament organised by Belmont and Edgware Cricket Club in partnership with Tribe.

Now in its second year, the Inter-Schools cricket competition again brought together four teams from Immanuel College, JFS, Hasmonean and King Solomon Secondary Schools. Playing in the popular 20/20 format, the tournament was exciting and often tense with JFS and Hasmonean making it through to the final.

In a closely fought match, JFS managed to outscore Hasmonean and were presented with the 2011 Tribe Cricket Trophy.

JFS Captain Grant Reingold was awarded Batsman of the Tournament while his brother Edward won the award for Best Bowler.

Head of PE at JFS Edward Botha said:
“Winning the Belmont and Edgware Tribe Cricket Tournament has been long overdue for a sport so dominant in JFS. May this keep going for years to come.”

Captain of the JFS Cricket Team Grant Reingold was delighted with the win. He said:
“It was a great day for the boys, we played really well and showed great commitment and we look forward to coming back next year to defend our title!”

Neil Myeroff, Tournament Organiser said;
“Belmont and Edgware Cricket Club were delighted to work with Tribe to host another excellent inter-school cricket tournament.”
