FROM SHOWBIZ TO SHABBAT

Last week Tribe Israel hosted a concert in Jerusalem with former West-End star Caroline Pakter for Tribe members on a gap year in Israel.

Caroline kept the girls entertained with beautiful songs and stories and discussed her life in drama school and on stage. She also spoke about the struggles and difficult choices she had to contend with in order to make the successful transition from the glitz and glamour of show-business to the spirituality of Judaism.

Joining the 50 girls from various seminaries were members of the FZY Gap year who were inspired and moved by Caroline’s story.

Sarah Rose who is studying at Midreshet Moria said;

"Caroline is incredibly talented and inspirational and this was an unforgettable event in my gap year experience!"

Merissa Gross, Tribe Israel Executive and organiser of the event said;

"What I like most about the Caroline Concert, is that the girls were totally mesmerized by her stories and songs. Her music speaks straight to the heart, so it’s perfect for Tribe which is trying to appeal to different types of people from different backgrounds."
