TRIBE ISRAEL INSPIRES UK STUDENTS
This week, Tribe Israel hosted a special panel discussion and social for UK girls currently studying at Sem in Israel.
On Monday night, 25 British girls from Midreshet Ha Rova, Midreshet Tehilla, Darchei Bina, Migdal Oz, MMY and Beur Miriam enjoyed a social evening based around a panel discussion with four ex-United Synagogue women who have made aliyah.
The panel was bombarded with questions from the girls including: "What is the true role of an orthodox Jewish woman" and "How hard is it to live in Israel?"
One panel member, Sam Rosenberg, helped prepare the girls for life at university telling them about opportunities for involvement in Tribe and Jewish societies. These are issues which the girls will explore in more detail in the Tribe Closing the Gap event on May 17th.
Chloe Carrol, ex-JFS student (who was a finalist on the Tribe Ambassador programme) said: "It was a gorgeous evening- so relaxed and homely. It really gave us a chance to hear valuable opinions and advice from inspiring British women who were just like us when they were 18!"
