OVERWHELMING 'YES' VOTE FOR NEW ALEI TZION RABBI

Following an Extraordinary General Meeting, the members of the Alei Tzion US community are delighted to announce the appointment of Rabbi Daniel Roselaar as its new Rabbi.

The shul’s members voted overwhelmingly to approve the appointment of Rabbi Roselaar who intends to join Alei Tzion at the end of June.

Announcing this decision, Nathan Woodward, Co-Chair of Alei Tzion, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rabbi Roselaar, his wife Na'amah and their family to our community.”

Hearing news of his appointment, Rabbi Roselaar said: “I've learnt a lot from the Belmont Community over the past 13 years. I am now excited about the next stage of my career and the opportunity to lead this developing community.”

The Alei Tzion community has previously been served by a number of prominent Rabbonim including Rabbi Binyamin Tabory and Rabbi Avi Scharf.

The community now numbers over 60 families and has a full range of religious, education and social services.

Elliot Cohen, Co-Chair, added: “We are a young and vibrant religious Zionist and modern orthodox community which has recently become a full member of the United Synagogue with all the benefits that brings. We are confident that Rabbi Roselaar has a fantastic range of communal skills to lead us in this new, exciting phase of our development.”

Commenting on the Rabbi’s departure, Chair of Belmont US, Anthony Broza said; “Rabbi Roselaar has been with us for 13 years and has made a huge contribution to our community. He will be sorely missed. The Executive and Board of Management wish him and his family every success and happiness in this new role.”
