TRIBE CAMPUS AMBASSADORS' INDUCTION

With over 2,000 Tribe members on campus, the number of Tribe Campus Ambassadors has increased from just 3 when they were first introduced in 2005 to 8 this year. As part of their induction at Tribe's offices this week, the Ambassadors planned the year's calendar of events for their fellow students on campus.

This year there are Ambassadors for London through to Scotland, including campuses in Cambridge, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and Leeds. The Ambassadors' primary role on campus will be to assist Tribe Campus members connect with Jewish events and culture while at university from Jewish Society Friday night meals to offers of home hospitality as well as supporting the work of the University Jewish Chaplains.

David Collins, Tribe Campus Executive commented 'University is not just about the academic challenges but also a key time for personal growth and development, and it is fantastic to have a group of such enthusiastic people who are keen to help Tribe members on campus feel part of a community.

Gemma Steinhart, Campus Ambassador for Cambridge commented 'Tribe are now at the cutting edge of Jewish campus life in Britain and it's great being a part of such an important project. Tribe's induction has been really motivating and all of us are looking forward to returning to campus and creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for our members there.
