FINALISTS TASTE DIPLOMATIC LIFE

Fourteen young Israel loves sampled the taste of diplomatic life when they called on Israel's new ambassador Ron Prosser.

The visitors were all finalists in the Tribe youth movement's ambassador competition. Ans at the Israeli Embassy, they heard Mr Proser tell of the unique role he has in the UK.

The envoy said: 'I am incredibly proud to see such a talented group of young ambassadors.
"Without them our work here would be incomplete. You are talking to the grassroots, where the seeds of positive thoughts about Israel begin."

The competition involved members pitching an Israel advocacy programme, which will be rolled out nationwide for Israel's 60th birthday in May.

Tribe programme and leadership director Charlotte Klein said "To be invited to the Israeli embassy was a great honour, and it was a wonderful experience for them.

"They had worked so hard and put together an outstanding programme for Israel advocacy. Hopefully the day fuelled them to further continue their good work."
