KINGS ARE CROWNED
Eleven students from King Solomon High School beat 200 other Jewish pupils to be crowned Tribe Ambassadors last week.
The competition designed to prepare students to promote Israel on campus, saw contestants compete in tasks including a mock debate in the House of Lords.
In the final, participants from both schools competed to present the best pitch for an Israel advocacy programme that will be rolled out nationwide in honour of Israel's 60th birthday.
The winning team were chosen by their peers and a panel of judges including representatives from the competition's organisers - JNF, BICOM, UJS and tribe.
In February, the winners will embark on a week-long trip to Israel, where they will meet with representatives from the Israeli government and media.
David Dobrin, from the winning King Solomon team said: "I am really proud of all the effort our team put into this competition, it has been an amazing experience and now we are looking forward to going to Israel"
