Welcome to Living & Learning

Welcome to the US Living & Learning Department. Set up in 2010 as part of the US Community Division, Living & Learning helps communities to share "best practice" and assists communities with educational and social projects.

Current work includes our recently published Guide to Pesach, Siddur projects, Children’s service programming materials, the "Services made simple" project, strategic planning with communities, our Newly Weds programme, production of educational courses, social programming and much more.

We work in coordination with rabbis, lay leaders and shul members.

Our team comprises Rabbi Andrew Shaw (Director, Community Rabbi at Stanmore and Canons Park Synagogue), Rabbi Michael Laitner (Education Co-ordinator, Assistant Rabbi at Finchley Synagogue – "Kinloss"), Avi Friedmann (Programmes Manager) and Joanna Rose (Administrative and Programmes Co-ordinator).
