Jewish Hospital Visitation - Caring for Jewish patients

Sadly, at any one time there are a number of members of the Jewish community who are in hospital and it is the role of the Jewish Hospital Visitation Service to visit them.

On behalf of the Multi Faith Chaplaincy Committee that's run by the NHS, US Chesed co-ordinates Jewish Hospital Visitation and Jewish Hospital Chaplaincy for anyone Jewish in hospital. The government recognises the fact that there are patients of different religions in hospital who wish to be visited by a member of their faith, be that a lay visitor or Rabbi. The United Synagogue is the overall synagogal organisation that administers these chaplains and visitors for anyone who declares themselves as Jewish in hospital.

If you know of anyone in hospital who would appreciate a visit please be in touch with us.
