Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP)

What is the Graduate Teacher Programme?
The Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) is a one year full-time postgraduate programme leading to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). It is an employment-based route into teaching. This makes it possible for schools to employ teachers who are not yet qualified and support them through an individual training programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status.
In certain circumstances the GTP can be completed in less than a year.
The programme is designed for individuals who are best-suited to on-the-job training or for those who are unable to return to fulltime study due to personal commitments. Furthermore, the programme allows those who have gained valuable experience in previous professions to bring their various skills into teaching.
To be eligible for admission to the programme trainees must meet the academic entry requirements of the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) and have the support of a school in which they are employed or will be employed during the programme.

- We will enable you to grow in academic and professional confidence. Whatever your starting point in terms of school and academic experience we will provide the opportunities for you to develop and excel.
- In our main North-West London location, Graduate Teachers have access to a well-resourced library and up-to-date IT facilities.
