Rabbi Mordechai Shlomo Ginsbury - Hendon Synagogue

Rabbi Mordechai Ginsbury has been the Rabbi of Hendon United Synagogue, Raleigh Close, since February 1999

Previously the Rabbi of Prestwich Hebrew Congregation, Manchester and a former Chairman of the Rabbinical Council of the Provinces and the United Synagogue, Rabbi Ginsbury has a long-standing interest in and experience of Rabbinic perspectives on community dynamics, outreach, development and leadership.

Rabbi Ginsbury was appointed as the professional head of P’eir (an acronym for ‘Promoting Excellence In Rabbis’, as well as a Hebrew word meaning ‘glory’) in 2009, tasked with the responsibility of overseeing programmes and initiatives to support best practice, relevance and excellence across the United Synagogue Rabbinate. P’eir works in close partnership with the Office of the Chief Rabbi, the Rabbinical Council of the United Synagogue and the US Centrally to ensure that US communities have Rabbis who are dynamic, motivated, idealistic, effective and sensitive to members needs.
