For any Shabbat

We sing ‘Here we go round the bracha tree’ and add in all the things for Shabbat – this is the bracha for making Kiddush, making Kiddush, making Kiddush……… borei peri hagafen etc. – the children take it in turns to be the candles, the cup, the wine and then they all want to be the challot and get tickled when eaten! It is always a favourite and we then usually give them their Kiddush. This works well with a smaller group of children.
