| Foundation | The week of Purim - The four Mitzvot of Purim: * Hear the reading of Megillat Esther * Send Mishloach Manot * Give charity to needy people * Have a festive Purim meal |
Print the Four Purim Symbols sheet or draw your own: divide an A4 sheet into four and draw one simple Purim picture in each section: mask, hamantash, crown, clown/clown hat. Photocopy several times and cut up into individual pictures. Split the children in two groups. One group must shut their eyes tight whilst the pictures are hidden (in easily accessible places) around the room. The group that have shut their eyes must then look for the pictures whilst the other group and leaders sing a Purim song. When the singing stops the children sit down with their pictures. The child with the most pictures, or whoever the leader chooses, can choose which of their pictures the group can sing about. Then the second group can hunt the pictures. Below are 4 short songs.
