He has been Rabbi of Golders Green Synagogue since 2003. In addition to his rabbinical duties, he is a Teaching Fellow at LSJS, the Rabbinic Mentor for University Jewish Chaplaincy, and teaches at the JLE and elsewhere. He is currently a post-graduate student in the philosophy department at Birkbeck, where he is researching the Chassidic school of Sochaczew.

He is the author of two books and has written numerous articles for the Jewish Chronicle, Cross-Currents and other publications. His special interests include Midrash, contemporary Halachah, pre-marriage counselling, 19th century Polish Chassidic thought and the development of independent-minded students.

Rabbi Belovski and his wife Vicki have seven children.
