Mill Hill East Jewish Community last Sunday held their first social event of the year. 150 adults and children attended the ‘Winter Wonderland’ event at Hasmonean Girls School.
The afternoon included Adrienne Clayton, a children’s entertainer, soft play, face painting, arts & craft, table tennis, a giant scalextric as well as great food and our guest speaker, Marie van der Zyl, Vice President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews.
The attendees included a broad range of the local Jewish community including families, singles and a few attendees from the Jewish Blind and Disabled (JBD) home in Mill Hill East.
Josh Kleiman, one of the Founders said: “The afternoon was a great success and it was such a fun-filled day for all the community. It was a great turnout, of which 50 children attended, which shows the growing need for Jewish provision for children in the area. It is such an exciting time for us and we look forward to our upcoming Shabbat morning service and Purim activities.”
Marie van der Zyl, Vice President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews said: “I had such a wonderful afternoon attending and speaking at the Winter Wonderland for the new Mill Hill East Jewish Community, and I look forward to watching the community go from strength to strength.”
